  • Salt

  • Freshly ground black pepper

  • 4 cloves garlic

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon packed brown sugar

  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes

Directions

  • Set an oven rack to the center position and preheat your oven to 425°F. Season the chicken. Use salt and pepper to season one pound of skinless, boneless chicken thighs. Drizzle some olive oil over the chicken to improve browning and add more flavor.
  • Not required: Prepare a Basic Sauce:
    Combine 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar, 4 chopped cloves of garlic, and 1 teaspoon brown sugar in a medium-sized bowl.
  • Cover the Chicken: Drizzle the seasoned chicken thighs with the sauce, tossing to coat them completely.
  • Arrange the Chicken in a Baking Dish: Take an 8- or 9-inch baking dish and spread out the chicken thighs in a single layer. Just place the chicken into the dish without greasing it.
  • Roast the Chicken: Bake the chicken for about 20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F, in an oven that has been warmed. Continue baking and check the temperature every five minutes, if necessary.
  • After cooking, take the dish out of the oven, cover it with aluminum foil, and give the chicken ten minutes to rest. This maintains the meat’s tenderness. Present and savor!
